Montana Creeds: Logan

Linda Lael Miller has written another excellent book. I am a HUGE Linda Lael Miller fan, will read anything with her name on it, and particularly enjoy her western themed novels. This one would have to go straight to the top of my all time favourite books. There is nothing that I didn't like about this book - Logan, the hero, is incredibly real and charming and I fell in love with him within 2 or 3 chapters. Briana, the heroine is strong, independent and makes a perfect partner for the twice-divorced, ex-rodeo star Logan. Her kids remind me of my nephews and the whole arc between Brianna, her ex and his new wife is wonderful. The sex scenes are spicy, but not over the top and I really believe that this series, including Dylan and Tyler, are going to be really fantastic.

I truly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys not only Linda Lael Millers writing, but also anyone who enjoys western themed novels. Cant wait for the next 2!

What this is is part 1 of 3 in a series of three estranged half brothers. (all share same father) This is Logan's (the eldest) story about how he moves back into his old family home ready to fix it back up and make a good name for the Creeds... and falls in love with his neighbor Briana.

First of all, the story starts with beautiful descriptive language and I really felt like I was there in Montana with the characters. The writing flows well and is beautiful. If you like rural romance where living together (out of wedlock) is out of the question and producing babies is very important you'd likely love this book.

I had some issues with the odd dynamics and situations with Briana and her ex-husband, the 'insta-love' between her and Logan, and that many story lines were left 'to be continued' for the next 2 books.

That said, there were touching moments and as I said before the writing did suck me right in and hold me until the end. I'm undecided if I'll buy the other two books in this series.

I love LLM's books, and this one's ok, but it didn't grab me the way some of her books do. So many lost opportunities, including the tie-in to the McKettricks, which was a teaser at the end of "McKettrick's Way." Another was the option to draw the characters closer together by delving into Logan's experience in Iraq, but this was never addressed. I confess that by the time they got to addressing the father's death, I wasn't interested in that part of the story line. I AM looking forward to reading Dylan's story next. I'm a sucker for a story with really little ones.

Linda Miller writes prose in an easy to read style. The book is full of believable characters and believable everyday events that might occur in small towns in the west. I enjoyed every page.

Logan Creed is back in Stillwater Springs and his family ranch that has been abandon since the death of his father. On the frist day back he meets Briana Grant,a divorced mom with two boys. When Logan and Briana there is instant attaction between, but they both hurt in there past that may keep them apart in the future.
"Montana Creed: Logan" is the first book by Linda Lael Miller that I have read in a very long time and it was pretty good. While there was little conflict and drama overall it was a good read that help to pass the time on lunch.

Logan is a lost soul when this story starts. He want to belong and decides the old homestead is a good place to start. He wants to make admends with his brothers because that all he got besides money. He heads the family cemetary to say "Hello" to his family. As he approaches he see a beautiful woman and her sons his heart skip a beat. She has been taking care of the small plot of land. She knows who he is and knows she could lose her heart to him but she can't because of her sons. Little does she know that desinty has other plans for her. The romance she doesn't want happens and the events keep them together. Soon they realize them love each other. Even though all that happens Logan is still there. What's a girl to do? Enjoy the book.

Loved it. The story unfolds as you wander through the pages with Creed's history. The scenery beckons you to visit albeit you remember it's a wonderful story.

I've been buying her books for a long time now, based on the fact I liked most of her older books. But in my opinion, her more recent books haven't been THAT stellar. But I really liked this book. So much more than any of the Stone Creek or Springwater novels. Those were okay, but I don't remember there being much chemistry between the characters. In 'Logan', she hit the mark. I was pulled in immediately by the characters and really wanted to know how everything played out. I already have the next book on my nightstand and can't wait to read it.
Great job!

This is a new trilogy by Linda Lael Miller. These Creed boys are related to the Mckettricks of a previous series. This is the first of three books about the Creed brothers, Logan, Dylan and Tyler. Logan has made a lot of money with an online self=help lawyer program. He decides to come home to the family ranch in Montana to start it up again. He and his two brothers had a terrible fight when their father died and the ranch has gone to seed. This is a wonderful western romance.

While I enjoyed Logan and Briana's story, I am reading Dylan's now, and it is much more exciting, and I can hardly put the thing down. However, the first book is definitely a four star read. I didn't give it five stars because of a lot of the hokey scenes involving Vance's new wife. I would have liked to see Logan be just a little more 'bad boy', but he seemed pretty laid back about Vance and the problems that came with him. However, a really good read!!!

LLM does it again. I loved the Mckettrick series and this book did not dissappoint me either. It appears that the Creed brothers are finally growing up and realizing what is more important in life. Love, family, & good friends & Home.

We have a book exchange at my office. LLM is one of the favorite authors of our group. I am looking forward to read about Dylan, the second book in this series.

Linda Lael Miller is one of the first romance authors I picked up. I admit its been a few years since I've read her but I'm really glad I picked up this book. Logan is a warm and sexy romance with a larger than life hero and a fun, likable heroine.

My only complaint with this book is the hero is rich. I know - that sounds odd but why do romance heroes always have to be rich? If you have a problem that can be solved by shoving money at it, how does that show character? Even with that `complaint', Logan is a book you don't want to miss. ~ [...]

I could hardly get through the book! I was given this book to read by my mother, who got the series from a friend. The plot was predictable, the writing was horrible and I felt like there were no transitions between topics. It was as if the writer had something pop into her head and wrote it down, whether it fit there or not. Logan was a great character as was Briana, but I felt they had no depth. I gave the book back to my mom and told her not to give me the other two on Dylan and Tyler...I wasn't interested. I would like to know how things went for them but think I can figure it out without being bored to tears. Maybe it's the teacher in me, but I couldn't believe how bad this was. My mother finished all three, but didn't like them either. I'm glad I didn't buy it!

I finished the book. It was ok. It just didn't "grab" me--something was missing. Even so, I am willing to try the second book in the series. I give this book a 3-star rating and a mild recommendation.

I only made it 20% into this book. The characters were not believable and I was so depressed I couldn't read anymore. The language is bad and every character is so self absorbed I am surprised they even noticed anyone else. Sorry I Don' t recommend this book.

I really enjoyed this book. I thought the characters were likeable and seemed fairly "normal" as far as book characters go. There are no parts of the book that make you go "yeah right, that's not possible." If you've read any of her other books and liked them then you'll like this one as well. The only slight complaint I have is that the kids seemed to always be fighting and that got a little distracting, but hey at the same time it made it a little more real. I'm really looking forward to the next 2 books in this series. I'm predicting that Dylan is going to be my favorite character of the series.

This is another keeper for me by Linda Miller. The oldest Creed brother comes back home to start over again and build up the ranch to its former glory, also to try and patch up the relationships with his brothers once again. He finds a lasting love along the way. Miller never disapoints. A must read in my opion.

I choose this book at the suggestion of a friend who advise me to try one of Linda Leal Miller's books. Since then I have purchased and read six more of her books. She writes a fast paced story that doesn't depend on four letter words to prove her heros are men and bed hopping to prove her heroines are female. Can you tell, I really like her writings and look forward to reading many more.

While this is not the type of book I normally read, it was given to me. Other than too much emphasis on sex, I enjoyed the characters and will most likely try to get the other books.
