When I loaded this book on my Kindle, I deliberately refrained from reading it immediately. Instead, I let it breathe like a fine wine or age like Stilton cheese. For weeks this book kept calling to me but I wouldn't let myself read it until New Years Day. Why? Because Linda Lael Miller's books are worth waiting for.

Miller is one of the only contemporary (or historical) writers who digs deep into the psyche of her characters and exposes the flaws and truimphs that are a part of the human condition. By the time I finished this book I felt like I knew Tate and Libby inside and out. So many authors pay lip service to the darker side of life but Miller wades in without hesitation, merging every aspect into a seamless and deeply satisfying read.

Readers will laugh, cry and rejoice as they turn each page. Romance lovers, you do not want to miss this book! ~ Ana, IReadRomance dot com

I am sucker for a good romance and Tate filled the bill for that. As some of the other reviewers mentioned, I could have used a bit more background into the motive behind why he did what he did and how they could have lived in the same town for years before becoming a hot item again. I loved the personalities of the little girls and the nephew. Overall, a very good read and I will look forward to stories about Garrett and Austin.

I picked this up at the grocery because I had read the McKettrick Men series & loved those. Jesse, Rance, Keegan, they were enough to make a person sit up and pay attention. Tate is on the verge of leaving me flat. The only word that comes to mind is "humdrum". I'll finish it, but if I get the others, it will be because I don't have anything new to read. I don't know what she changed, but if this is indicitive of Miller's new style, I won't be following along.
A Western Romance (The Carsons of Mustang Creek) - Once a Rancher :: Montana Series (The Parable Series) - Book 5 of Parable :: An Anthology (The Montana Creeds) - Montana Creeds :: Yankee Wife (Quade Book 1) :: A Western Redemption Romance (McKettrick Men) - McKettrick's Heart

I thought this book was fantastic. The characters were well developed. I loved the 6 year old twins. Tate was a great dad with them. the story just wove together so well, with the sub-plots, and the romance, and the hot stuff (there was some good hot stuff!). Really, really great novel. Great writing. Makes me want to go back and re-read McKettrick's Pride.
I can't wait for Garrett, and Austin.

This is one of LLM books that I did'nt like. To start off I was a little upset that Tate made the girls donate their gift. That's like a slap in the face to the gift giver. She did not go into why Tate felt that they should give the castle away. And what was his problem with having money? I do agree with other readers about the relationship between Tate and Libby. I would have loved to hear how he explained cheating on her. And why wait over 5 years to go after the woman you love, when you're already divorced. I finished the book 2 days ago and have not been able to read Garrett story yet. And with my reading ocd, (I can't read a book in a series until I have all of them) it must be something wrong. Let's hope his story gets better.

I enjoyed this "Tate" book. Good romance, interesting characters, drama, family values, etc. Please remember - this is a fiction romance, not a great epic novel. Simply sit back with your favorite beverage and enjoy a pleasant story line. I am now reading "Garrett" which is also a good book.

Tate is by far the most engaging of the 3 McKettrick brother books. This is the book that made me want to search out and read Garrett and Austin. Libby is fantastic and very likable. She is down to earth and could be someone you know at your local coffee shop. As far as fantasy men and romance go, Tate seems to have finally gotten it right after so many years apart. Great read and definite must on the list for romance lovers.

I really enjoy this book. It has alot of today's topics divorce, lost loves, mystery and passion..I like the small town settings. Also, getting to know the town's people remind me of when I was growing up..I can identify with the charactors and situations. They maded me laugh and Linda make you feel the passion and the feelings the story is expressing..

I've worked with men all my life and Linda actually 'gets it' as to how they feel about all things woman. Far from being lustful beings without a conscience, Linda portrays Tate as what I consider the typical man - he has his faults, but he knows what they are and is actually sorry for things he has done. The remarkable part of it is how mature he and Libby are and the depth of both of their feelings for each other and the circumstances of their lives. This is actually believable. It's not over the top and moves fast enough yet slow enough. I can't wait for the other two books.

This is the first book I have read by this author. I love the cowboy/western theme. However, the story was rather boring. I had trouble finishing the book. I like a groveling hero and some angst, but there was very little of that in this book.

Really enjoyed this book! I don't understand some of the bad ratings. For me it had it all, cowboy, romance, happy ending ... and two more books in the series.

Page 1: Guys loves girl and wants to marry her. Girl loves guy. Many, many pages later, filled with non-problems keeping them apart and improbable events, they marry. What a waste of time.

I like this author. You know who is going to end up together, but Linda has a lot happen in between. I feel like I am a part of the McKittrick clan.

I have read many Linda Lael Miller books and have loved all of them, the Stone Creek Novels were my favorite. However, this book the main characters didn't find romance, no chemistry, just straight to bed. I hope the next book in the series is better.
