I wish I had known this wasn't a complete novel. When breaking a book into thirds, a lower price point should be considered. Even though I've been a fan of the author's writing since the first book I will not be purchasing the rest of the series. I just feel a bit cheated right now.

Caelen McDunnah and Fiona McPherson were Lairds of their own clans. She had a blunt tongue on her that made him laugh. As a matter of fact, it made me laugh out loud at the banter between them also. This is an absolutely delightful story and I had trouble putting it down. I can't wait to hear this one on audio. Suzan gets better and better with spinning a great tale that will keep you spellbound.

This is a somewhat new to me author and I'm VERY GLAD to have found her. Cameron's Wife has suspense, treachery, clan politics, a blooming romance and gorgeous Scots! What more could I want? A slight warning, it has a bit of a cliffhanger ending, but there are two more books and they will be out in February and March so we don't have long to wait!

It was OK, but seemed a bit plodding. I doubt I'll be trying the rest of the titles, even if it will take two more to resolve the relationship between Caelen and Fiona. I give it a hearty "Meh" with an less-than-enthusiastic shrug.

I do so love Ms Tisdale' s books! Caelen has been the dark horse in her series and the one I have wondered (and quite honestly, fantasized about) about the most! I'm not sure how the entirety of this trilogy will go, but this was a great start giving us a great H and h to root for through the next two books. I'll be impatiently awaiting the following releases!

This is a good story. The problem with it is the first few chapters were messed up by whoever converted it to digital format. The ending was messed up by the author by putting Brodie in two places at the same time. Had those two things been corrected it would of been a great story.

Suzan Tisdale has a way of grabbing and keeping your attention like no other. From her first book to this trilogy she keeps you entertained. I am in love with this clam man Caelen. I wish men today had his passion and kindness. I can't wait to see how the next story will begin. Will they find the happiness they both deserve or will it only be one night. Come on February I need to know.

I enjoy series but especially enjoy. Trilogies. This first of the Clan McDunnah trilogy is follow by only a 30 day wait between the next two books. I have read 4 Historical fiction authors over the last 30 days and they are similar in many ways but not all will capture the interest and imagination that this book has for me. It is just fun to read about these early century highlanders.

I love Suzan Tisdale's books, but why butcher it apart? I can come up with two possible reasons and neither of them are good. Do they think the readers can't read long books? Is it a way to make more money? This is the second time I have been suckered into buying a "trilogy" that is less like a trilogy and more like "let's just cut the book apart after some many pages."

Suzan Tisdale does it yet again!! Much like warrior woman defending their families, or clan this heroine does not know her own beauty. She thinks she's plain, but alas, the very handsome hero from a neighboring clan finally decides she's all he's ever wanted, and more!! Their race to find the mystery behind the raids on her clan looks to be a beautiful one!! I can not wait for part 2 and 3!!!!

Love Suzan Tisdale's books but really hated this "dirty" trick. Everyone of her books has left me wanting to read the next one. This
Leaves you having to read the next one if you want a completed story. All three should have been released as a set. I will buy the next two but will wait until they are both out and not happily.

Without advanced warning? I don't like cliffhangers. I wonder who's idea this was? The author or the publisher? I enjoy ST's books, I don't enjoy this set up. But that's ok, the month between will just give me time to forget about the book. Kind of like some series on tv.

A well-written action-adventure Scottish romance. This book features a strong female warrior clan chief, who finds herself attracted to a neighboring clan chief. The female chief heads up an egalitarian clan where males & females both warrior train and share in household and childcare duties. This stands in stark contrast to the clans in the author's previous books, and adds an intriguing twist to the story. Fiona, the main character, is troubled by repeated thefts of sheep and bizarre marriage proposals from other neighboring clans. Believing Calan, the head of a neighboring clan to be behind the thievery, she meets with him and is instantly attracted to him (and likewise, he is instantly attracted to her.) Fiona is torn between her attraction towards Calan, her duty to her clan and her belief that its in the best interest of her clan if she stays single, and her uncertainty as to whether or not Calan is behind the theft of her sheep. This book is a short read, as is clearly marked in the description. It does end with some unresolved story lines, as is common for trilogies. Fortunately, the terrible editing of the author's previous books has been fixed in this book, and the story is a much cleaner, consistent read.

Widowed from a loveless marriage, Fiona is now the chieftain of her clan. Regardless of her feelings for Caelen, leader of a neighboring clan, she ignores her inner feelings putting her clan above all else. She needs to figure out who's steeling her herd and evidence found points to Caelen's clan. Her brothers feel he's been set up and investigate for themselves. Fiona, on the other hand, smacks you now and asks questions later. I loved her! Fiona was so feisty, you had to love and admire her! I intend to look into the other books in this trilogy.

The only thing I would change is the title. It sort of gives the story its ending.

I absolutely loved this book! the story was very interesting and made you want to keep reading. I cannot wait for the next book in this series! Suzan Tidsdale manages to write books that make you love her characters and want to know more about them. This story had parts that made you laugh and made you cry, especially with the loss of Fiona's friend/sister. I found Fiona to be a beautiful person with a good heart, caring and loving, which overrides her lack of prettiness. I liked the change in Caelen's character, he is more mature and learned in his life. A really great read!

Suzan has done it again , another fabulous read , Caelen McDunnah a warrior who is still grieving his wife and child after sixteen years , is upended by a fiery lass Fiona McPherson ,a laird in her own right ,a widow who's only concern is looking after her clan ,turns down each marriage offer she has gotten ,will Caelan change her mind about marriage ,well you will have to wait and read the next installment of Caelen's wife , can't wait , thanks Suzan ,loved it .

Suzan has done it again! This is only the first out of three parts of the book, and I loved it. The reason it is in three parts is because she felt the book would be way too large and probably too expensive. This book is about Fiona McPherson and Caelen McDunnah, chiefs of their clans. Caelen has grieved for his dead wife and baby for 16 years, and is a bitter man that gets extremely drunk once a year upon the anniversary of their deaths. When the McPhersons have had the McDunnah clan steal their sheep, Fiona, her brothers, and some other men of their clan go to reclaim them from Caelen, who is extremely drunk. She is a warrior woman, and Caelen is fascinated with her. He tells her that no one from his clan has stolen their sheep, but she has physical proof that someone in his large clan stole them from her small clan. He allows her to take her sheep and go. However, was it actually someone from Caelen's clan who stole her sheep, or someone who was setting him and his clan up for war with the McPhersons? Please read the books and find out. I was given this book in return for an honest review.

A few thoughts if I may.....
The author had informed readers this particular story would be written in three part form so I am rather confused and annoyed by harsh comments posted here. I am an avid reader ( a book a day chic) and have picked up a few trilogies that were a complete waste of time, bad writing and editing, grammar a third grader would use, containing situations the author had no had experience in... but anyway ~

Caelen's Wife was flawless perfection! Suzan is absolutely on fire with this one.
I have read all of her works and this one release is by far Suzan's best to date.
You want to know a summary of the plot? Read above.
I would highly recommend Caelen's Wife because you will not be disappointed. Period.
Part 2 & 3 will be about the same size as this one with titles and release dates provided by Suzan:
A Whisper of Fate on February 27
A Breath of Promise on March 27.

Honestly, I feel a little cheated....
