I have been reading the Wherlocke adventures for years - and they never fail to provide fabulous tales of intrigue, lust, danger and an introduction to more of the fascinating clan. Beven and Primrose are set for a harrowing effort to find her brother, avoid becoming victims of an evil Aunt and solve the mysterious happenings of her family. This story is fast paced, shocking and filled with passion - and the requisite HEA. Don't miss adding this to your reading list!

Disappointing given the excellence of other books in series. I looked forward to this new installment but found it lacking in many ways. Never connected with any of the characters; felt several new Vaughns and Wherlockes were added without development or purpose.

I will keep reading series, but hope next book is better.

First of all - I love this series and Ms. Howell’s family of Wherelocke’s and Vaughn’s are so totally unique, creative and totally imaginative it’s hard to have to wait for the next books detailing this amazing family.

Right from the start we are introduced to Lady Primrose Wooten who is in a desperate search for her brother now that her beloved father had died under mysterious circumstances. If she cannot locate her brother in time, her odious aunt and uncle are attempting to marry her off to a very sleazy man who is rumored to have killed his last three wives. Having been unseated in the woods, she is in dire straits without her spectacles and horse. Thankfully, Sir Bened Vaughn who has a knack for calming and a sixth sense of danger has come to her aid and offers his services to Primrose.

Bened has been on his own for some time, usually hired to protect and keep safe the heirs of nobility. Having saved the life of his last client’s heir, Bened has been rewarded with a title and lands by a grateful father. On his way to inspect his new lands he runs into Primrose. Something about Primrose stirs something primal in his blood, and after hearing her story, he feels honor-bound to assist her in her search.

Filled with intrigue, danger, and a simmering sensuality Bened and Primrose’s adventures are fraught with all kinds of hazards as her vengeful and psychotically evil aunt is determined to rid herself of one more impediment blocking her way to riches and power. Naturally, the call goes out to Bened’s many relatives and with their assistance and advice, Bened and Primrose manage to keep up with the evil machinations of her killer aunt.

Bottom line: Excellent read - fast action - simmering sensuality - plus fabulous characters - what more does one need!

This was an exciting read that is part of a series, but can be read as a stand alone book. The characters and storyline kept my interest because a gifted MS Howell knows how to tend to her craft.
You know that this author tantalizes the reader with lots of adventure, mystery and sexual tension. It makes one want to keep reading until the very end. The hero in this next tale of Wherlocke family, is Sir Bened Vaughn. He's handsome, gifted, dangerous and so hot it will make you think of naughty things. Bened did not grow up titled, but he's earned his way with the sweat of his brow. He's not so high in the instep, but he layed back and in control. So when Bened meets the lovely Lady Primrose Wooten on the same road as he (she's fallen off her horse) and looking for her glasses and offers his help. Primrose comes up with a pistol aimed at Bened to leave her alone and go on down the lane (so to speak). But being a noble man, he just can't seem to do that. Bened gets the story out of the lady, and says he will be her protection, and find her brother that is missing.
You will want to find out how both of stubborn people try to keep from falling in love, but fate is fickle, and tries to throw lots of fences in their way. Especially the nasty relatives of Primrose who are bad to the bone.
I appreciate Net Galley and Kensington for this ARC title in which I gave an honest review.

The book itself was another story that I nearly passed over as part of my options for reviewing material. Thankfully I was able to fit the story into my schedule and I am so relieved that I did as this story is a grand example of what an exceptional romance should be in every way.

To be fairly honest I am a little surprised by how much I fell in love with this book. Since Howell first began the series there have been stories that I have found to be likable and others that have been general misses with me, until now.

Mostly what I loved about this book was the romance, but the plot was just as rewarding. As for the romance it was a beautiful, gripping love story and Howell certainly touched my heart with her writing style of heroism and new, unexpected beginnings.

As for the plot it contained the right amount of adventure that added excitement to the romance to the point that this book was not a typical, romantic read. The story of both Primrose and Bened is memorable and yet for the first time in so long I believe that this romance is truly worthy of a happy ending.

Perhaps my only real fault with this story is that the chemistry between the characters was little weak. This might be alright for some readers since it tended to fit the tone of the book set by the author, but I prefer a more sizzling chemistry throughout story for my personal taste as the reader.

Finally I would highly recommend adding this book to your list of novels to read this year if you are like me and enjoy romance. As for right this moment in the industry a reader isn't going to do better than If He's Noble.

If’s He’s Noble is the seventh installment of Ms. Howell’s ambitious Wherlocke series. An entertaining and somewhat dark series that uses love, humor, heroism, revenge, and a wee bit of the supernatural to guide our hero and heroine past adversity and into true love. Action and suspense go hand in hand as two souls come together to stop a mad woman from further destroying a family’s life. This can be read as a stand alone and you do not have to read the others in order to appreciate this story, though previous heroes and heroines drift in and out of the story at random intervals.

Though this series is normally dark in terms of conflict and characterization, this particular installment is lighter than the others I’ve read. I wish I could say this story blew me away me, but I cannot. An interesting premise that never seems to quite gain a strong foothold. The best I can say is that it is vaguely amusing. The protagonists are nice. The plots and subplots are slow to produce and quite predictable. The resolution is understated and anti climatic. Even the villain, who is said to be insane, comes off more ridiculous than scary. There is no sense of adventure within the plot as one would suspect from this series; only mild intrigue. No real anticipation or excitement. I knew from the beginning what the end would be.

Our main protagonists, Lady Primrose Wootten and Sir Bened Vaughn are calm, rational, good-natured souls with a quiet dry wit about them. They meet by chance, with Primrose lost in the woods trying to find her spectacles and horse. She is on her way to find her brother as her father, the Baron has passed away, and her aunt and uncle want to marry her off to an old man in order to gain her inheritance. Bened is a bodyguard, hired to protect the nobility’s heirs. He has just finished up a job in which he is awarded a title and an estate. He meets up with Primrose in the woods on his way to his estate and after hearing her tale of woo has decided he is honor bound to help her. His attraction to her is just a bonus. All very amicable. And that pretty much sums up the entire tale. Amicable. I found neither of them were well rounded or particularly deep. Howell uses more than half the book to build their romance while building up the conflict alongside. Any conflicts, either personal or plotwise, were resolved quickly with little fuss.

Their attraction to one another is well documented and that was part of my issues with the book as a whole. Howell writes very well but the emotions didn’t transcribe the written word. We spend more time being told every thought, emotion, etc…then feeling what has happened. Their chemistry is more like two old friends who become lovers then a passionate new affair. It’s all very comfortable. Each alludes to it with the proper listing of pros and cons of entering into a relationship with one another. Everything about them and the situation as a whole is so well-mannered and civilised.

It’s only when the other characters come into play does the excitement levels pick up. The Whitlockes and Vaughns are a rambunctious group whose gifts and amusing eccentricities offer a respite from the overall blandness. They are a large and unusual family and Howell continues to expand on the two families with each new book. The inclusion of the supernatural is just as potent as always but in here seems to stay in the background, adding to the characters natural inclines without being used as a catchall to save the day. Primrose’s brother Simone had some backbone to him that proved interesting and I enjoyed meeting Primrose’s Uncle Gregory and his partner Frederick. Howell adds a bit of spice to the series by introducing this couple and their relationship.

Overall this was not my favorite in this series. I expected the usual shock and awe and instead felt barely felt a tinge. Regardless, I look forward to the next in the series, if only to see if this one was an anomaly.

Overall Rating: C-

So a little less than a year ago when THIS book came out, I binged, and binged, and binged, and binged, and binged, and binged (yes, that is 6) to prepare for this book and then I rather didn’t care to see another Wherlocke ever again. For some reason though this popped back to my attention and I figured maybe it was time to try to finish this off. Plus the 21rst Murray story is coming out in September, and I think I would feel guilty if I didn’t read this one first. Yes, I am strange.

What we have here is the epic trek. Primrose and Bened trek about all over the countryside killing people and foiling kidnapping and murder plots while searching for her brother. It is a romp. I actually expected a ton more “I am not good enough he/she is too good” etc, but there was only a little. What there was more of was adult like contemplation of the ramifications of their possible affair, which was a pleasant change from the usual fare.

There really wasn’t any mystery so this was more action oriented and on that it delivered fairly well. Primrose was charming and capable, and slightly ridiculous. Bened was stalwart as a good historical hero should be. And there was a ridiculous little plot pet of the man-eating purse rat variety.

I liked this one fairly well. No one was cheating, there were no protracted ridiculous separations, and there were happy endings all around (you know, if you consider bad people dying a happy ending, which I do). I hope if there is a next book it will be Modred’s, but I suspect it will be the brother’s.

If your local library has copies of these, I recommend them as a pleasant way to pass the time.

This is book 7 in the Wherlocke series.

Lady Primrose "Rose" Wooten must find her brother, but she keeps getting waylaid by men her aunt sent after her. During her travels, she runs into Sir Bened Vaughn. Not wanting any help, she turns down his offer to travel with her. But Bended insists and Rose has a hard time telling him no.

Like the rest of the members of his family, Bened has special abilities. He can sense when danger when it is coming and protect those that are with him. With Rose's aunt sending men to chase after her, his ability came in handy.

Can Rose find her brother and stay out of the clutches of her Aunt's men?

Loved this story, just as I have the rest of the series. I have been looking forward to Bened's story since he was first introduced in the series.

Rose and Bened's attraction for each other was almost instantaneous. Unfortunately Bened tried to ignore it as Rose was not of his class (she was nobility). Those stubborn men for you!! I really liked Rose. She was definitely not your typical lady of the times. She knew she had to find her brother before her aunt did and set out to find him on her own. Luckily for her (and us), she found Bened along the way.

I really hope to see more of Lilybet (a Wherlocke that was found in the course of the story) as she was a breathe of fresh air. Her story would definitely be an interesting one!!

Lady Primrose Wootten is searching for her brother when Sir Bened Vaughan sees her tangled in the woods looking for her horse. Her father had just died and she needed to let her brother know and avoid their aunt. When it becomes clear that their aunt wants more than to just take over. Bened refuses to leave Primrose. While there is more to him than normal men, she slowly makes him want much more.
I had mixed feelings about this book. There were a number of things I went back and forth on. For example, I didn’t really “feel” the two main character’s instant attractions, but I did like their overall characters, particularly Bened’s. Yet, part of him irritated me as he was determined Primrose kept hiding more from him, but there really wasn’t any more she was hiding from him. I also didn’t like his reason for leaving in the end, when I felt her character left his feelings unfounded. With Bened’s character, he really didn’t have any insecurities pointed out throughout the book. I know these reasons sound cryptic, but I’m trying to not give away plot points and still give an honest review. I liked the slight paranormal aspect to the story. I also liked meeting several of Bened’s family members.
Overall, it was a decent book. Even with the things I didn’t like, the plot was good enough that I wanted to finish the book. I would still recommend it to anyone that likes this genre and any of Hannah Howell’s fan-base.

“She was the perfect example of a gentle-bred Englishwoman except for the pistol she held aimed at his heart.” – If He’s Noble

*advance reader copy received through NetGalley*

As a romance author, Hannah Howell writes across several historical genres, and while I love all her work – the stories with paranormal tones are favorites. Her vampire-based books and Highland series books have a large fan base. If He’s Noble is the author’s latest book in her Wherlockes series, which focuses on a family of gifted individuals in historical England. I missed the last book or two in this series, but most of her books are able to stand alone quite well, and I fell right into the story of this unlikely couple.

Primrose is an honorable lady who has been pushed to desperate actions. She has to find her wayward brother before they lose their family home and possibly much more to greedy relatives. When she runs into Sir Bened after the latest hazardous snag in her quest, she is reluctant to take the help offered…especially when it becomes apparent that his life will also be in danger. Bened is equally unwilling to leave the young woman to fend for herself in such a dangerous situation. As they spend time together and share in adventure, something begins to grow between them. Will they survive long enough to explore this connection, or will fate cut their story short?

Howell adds more detail about the Wherlocke family and its many branches, to include the Vaughns (of which Bened is a member). The author adds a new character to the mad Wherlocke mix, and hints at potential stories that could come next in the series. The pace of this book is easily on par with any of the higher level authors that are publishing today – there is never a dull moment. The romantic scenes are tastefully and steamily written, but do not replace the story as the focal point of the book. I actually really liked the way she wrote these scenes, because I felt like both characters were really invested without drawing the lovemaking on for three pages, and I became invested in the happiness of the couple as well.

This book is an easy 5/5 rating – check out the author and series if you have yet to sample the delights.

The second I have read in this wonderfully engaging series, If He’s Noble compiles all of the elements together for a gripping read. Heroine in danger? Check. Evil family villain? Check. Hero with honor and good intentions? Check. Fast-paced action, chemistry and a believable set of circumstances? Check, check and Check.

See, Primrose’s father has died under mysterious circumstances and her Aunt and Uncle are in control. Her uncle is vile, but in that drinking, gambling and carousing uncaring inattentive sort of way. Her aunt, however, is a grasping power-made greedy woman, willing to go to great lengths to eliminate competition for the not unsubstantial family fortune and power. With only Primrose having the power to stop her aunt’s plans, she sets off to find her brother and warn him of the dangers posed by her guardians.

Bened Vaughn, like all of his family, is possessed of something ‘extra’ that makes them more than human. In family history, this extra has led to fear and loathing, witch hunts and more. But, in a more enlightened time, with the Vaughns and Wherlockes all finding life is moving along well. Bened has been working in personal security for the nobility, and this has brought him wealth, a title and lands. But, coming across a bedraggled lass, recently unseated from her horse and a little frantic, he listens to her story. While he is intrigued by Primrose, he’s finding himself honor-bound to help her.

These two are adorable together. Primrose had suspicions, but never could she have imagined the depth of the danger she would face, but fortunately Bened is well-versed in protection and ferreting out motivations and plots. Determined and while not ‘seasoned’, Primrose is ready to face off to stand on the side of right in this battle of right and wrong. Raised with a certain knowledge of society and expectations for a woman, she is more than able to help and support Bened as he navigates the waters of society with his newly acquired title, and it’s no wonder that their friendship moves to love. Not only because he saved her, but for her essential sweetness and belief in him, and her stalwart support. A wonderful and fast paced instalment with plenty of twists and some great reveals of motivations and machinations.

I received an eARC copy of the title from the publisher via NetGalley for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

REVIEW:
Great historical romance! I thoroughly enjoyed If He’s Noble! I’ve read a couple of Hannah Howell’s books in the past and had forgotten how much I enjoyed them. If He’s Noble was a fun and exciting romance with witty characters and a gripping plot. It’s well written and hooked me from the beginning with a fun meeting between the characters. This book can be read as a standalone. I haven’t read the entire series but plan to go back and read them because I enjoyed this one. I recommend it for regency historical romance lovers looking for a well written story that will leave you smiling when you close the book. I’ll be checking out the rest of the series and already passed on a paperback to a friend to share the story with her.

Howell takes you back in time through every aspect of this novel. The descriptions and people set the scene while the narrative and dialogue set the tone. Howell’s intricate plot of danger and betrayal was fast paced, always keeping me on my toes. I really enjoy how well the entire Wherlocke series ties together as a whole, yet how each novel can also be read individually, without the rest of the series.

Primrose was a fantastic heroine for this series. I thoroughly enjoyed the way rationalized everything. Her strength in the face of the deepest of betrayals really sets her apart from most heroines of the genre. Bened’s gift and his fascination with Primrose made him a sight to behold. Howell’s descriptions and the character’s own actions brought him to life in vivid clarity, allowing me to picture & fall in love with him. These two characters’ positive and endearing traits were highlighted by the utter despicableness of some of the supporting cast. The contrast in characters was so marked that you couldn’t miss it.

Once again Howell has created a historical romance with a kick. It was a great read that I could barely put down.

Hannah Howell does it again! This one is exceptional! I love the main characters Primrose and Bened. The plot was riveting Primrose’s Aunt was out to kill her brother and now her to gain wealth and power. Lucky for Primrose she stumbles onto Bened who realizes she is a woman alone on the search for brother to tell him he’s in danger. Bened is all that is noble, he decides to stay close to Primrose to be her protector to make sure nothing happens to her. He has this inane ability to sense when he is in danger which saves her life many times. Miss Howell touched my heart writing of a gentleman who is loyal, heroic and one of a kind. Mostly what I loved about this book was the romance, but the plot was just as rewarding. They had certain chemistry, but I do prefer a more sizzling chemistry between the leading characters. It’s filled with adventure, intrigue and danger with a simmering romance for Primrose and Bened as her ruthless vengenceful Aunt is determined to rid herself of one more person blocking her from having all the wealth and power she can grasp. I highly recommend this book this romance is truly worthy of a happy ending and it’s one I know you will greatly enjoy!!! 5 Stars!! I received this book from NetGally for an honest review.

I received a copy of the book for an honest review. Although not my favorite of the series, I enjoyed the book very much. As a historical romance fan, I really like the hints of paranormal that are such an important part of the series, but aren't over the top; it reminds me of Patricia Rice's Magic series which I enjoyed greatly and miss. Primrose is running from her Aunt after the death of her father trying to locate her brother. After losing her glasses and horse, Primrose meets Bened Vaughn. Bened's special skill is sensing danger allowing him to act as a bodyguard. As a thank you for his service, he was granted an estate and a minor title. Bened finds Primrose amusing and cannot allow her to go after her brother alone. What follows is a road adventure that includes sleeping outdoors and encounters with various villains. Primrose's aunt is a stereotypical villain, but she just provides the impetus for Primrose and Bened to get to know each other. I liked Primrose and her strength when faced with past memories. Bened had a strong protective instinct especially when it came to Primrose, but I like that he was willing to listen to her and acknowledge her inner strength.

I so love the Wherlocke stories. This offering of Sir Bened Vaughn and Lady Primrose Wootten's tale of travail is no disappointment.
We originally met Bened Vaughin in the first book of the series, 'If He's Wicked', then later his skills as a tracker are mentioned several times in 'If He's Wild.'
So now this gorgeously protective man has his own story and he finds himself drawn willy nilly into the mystery surrounding the vibrant Primrose. In search of her brother Simeon, pursued by ruffians employed by her wicked aunt Primrose has only her wiles and now Bened to stand between herself and disaster.
Bened is drawn to Primrose, first seen waving a pistol at him. Their race to find Simeon is dangerous and exhilarating and charged with the tensions of the attraction they feel towards each other. Along the way, Primrose confronts repressed memories, hidden pages from her childhood, uncomfortable and telling. The bond that grows between Bened and Primrose is tested in more ways than one. Not the least of those being as Lilybet so succinctly puts it 'male idiocy.'
A taut and exciting entry into the Wherlocke family annals.

I am a fan of Ms. Howell and IF HE'S NOBLE is another enjoyable and enthralling read. The story revoles around Lady Primrose Wooten who is on a desperate search to find her brother. Their father has died and Simeon is now head of the family. As Primrose searches the countryside, she runs across Sir Bened Vaughn who offers to escort her while she searches. As the story unfolds, we learn more about Aunt Augusta and the real reason why Primrose must find her brother.

I loved the main characters and how they handled their mutual attraction. The author teases out details about the hero and heroine that are both endearing and shocking. The book was action packed and just when you think our heroine is safe, another twist in thrown in the story. All in all, it was a very enjoyable story. Fans of regency and Highland romances will definitely love this one!

This is the first of Wherelocke and Vaughn story I've read and it certainly will not be the last! I really liked the fact that this wasn't your same old Victorian story. When we met the heroine (Lady Primrose Wootten) she was out on her own searching for her brother. Her father had just died and the brother & his mean wife had taken over. They were trying to marry Primrose off to one of her uncle's cronies he owed money to. The hero, Sir Bened Vaughn, is not your usual hero either. He comes from a family with special powers. Bened's specific power is the ability to sense when danger is around. The entire story is Bened & Primrose trying to find her brother while staying one step ahead of her aunt's goons. There was enough peril & intrigue to keep me interested in the story and made me want to read about the other family members.

I was given this ARC in return for an honest review. If He's Noble is book 7 of the Wherlocke series. I really enjoyed this story. I couldn't put it down till the end. Hannah Howell is a great storyteller.
If He's Noble is the story of Bened and Primrose. Bened meet Primrose in the woods as Primrose was in search of her brother. Bened accompanied her on the journey and he began to fall for her, but decided that she deserved better then him.
Primrose was in love with Bened, but was being forced to marry another man her aunt sold her to. But when Bened finally realized that he made a mistake he fights to get Primrose back.
I will leave the rest for readers to discover when they read the story.
I give If He's Noble 5 stars and would recommend it to anyone who are into the paranormal and historical romance.

Lady Primrose Wootten is on a journey to find her brother. While on her journey she bumps into Sir Bened Vaughn. Even with the crazy way that they meet Primrose and Bened cant seem to let the other walk away.

This is the 7th book in the Wherlocke series and is a fun read. Hannah Howell brings you into the world that she creates and you end up wanting to bask in the greatness of it all. I was laughing with the first chapter and ready for whatever was going to happen through out the rest of the book.

I have always loved Hannah Howell's work, granted there are some not as good as others.
For this book, it was not quite what I expected. This is still historical romance, but without all the society and the Ton or even highlanders. There is a lot of running around, back and forth, New characters added every so often.
If you have read any of the Wherlocke series you know that each one has a special gift, most other people are "afraid" of said gifts. Yet in this book, Simeon and Primrose did not fear it, they accepted and wanted to learn more.
This book was more in suspense, than anything. I still enjoyed reading, but was not captured fully like I normally am with Ms. Howell's work.

A wonderful addition to these excellent series. Bened is traveling to his new home and use to his new title after being rewarded by his client. He encounters Primrose and finds himself oddly drawn to her, he can easily see she is in need of his assistance and he is happy to offer it. Primrose is in search of her brother after the suspicious death of her Father and her Aunt and Uncle suddenly taking over the manor. As the journey continues the attraction between Bened and Primrose grows. Will Bened be able to resist and can the Vaughns and Wherlockes use their special skills to help Primrose? Wonderful historical adventure. The characters are excellent, this is a series but can be read as a stand-alone, lots of adventure and romance. I loved it!

Just finished the book and absolutely loved it. I have loved reading about the Wherlockes and the Vaughns!! Bened has just been given a Baroncy and is on his way to his property when he finds a lady romaning around the woods looking for her spectacles and horse. Honorable Lady Primrose was thrown frm her horse when it got spooked and lost her seeing glasses in the process when someone comes up to help.
There is so much drama from murder, ambush, passion, running for ones life, and love all wrapped up in another awesome read from Hannah Howell. Her books are ones that can be read over and over again, they are that good. I can't wait to read her next book on this family, I hope it's Modred!!!

Although If He's Noble is part of a series, it reads fine as a stand-alone. Lady Primrose Wooten has just lost her father under mysterious circumstances. While still trying to come to terms with her loss, she's faced with a horrible marriage arranged by her less-than-loving aunt and uncle. She must find her brother at all costs as she desperately needs an ally. As she starts her search, she's thrown from her horse. Her horse runs away and to make matters worse, she has lost her glasses. Then she meets Sir Bened Vaughn and things start looking up as the two of them embark on the quest for her brother. A well-written romance that has something for everyone!

What can you say about Hannah Howell...she is one of the best writers I think! I love her books and have read almost all of them! This book was great! It is the seventh in the series "Wherlocke'. But with all of Hannah Howell's book you don't have to read them in order, so this is a standalone book. too. Lady Primrose Wootten is the heroine of this story. She is being invaded by greed driven family members that are really awful! She goes for help in the way of her brother but meets the hero this story instead. The hero, Sir Bened Vaughn isn't afraid of much, but Lady Primrose is making him have doubts! So glad to have this book!

I have been a fan of Ms Howell's for years. I really love this series. The paranormal aspects of theses books add a great deal of charm and humor to the stories and I always enjoy the ride shr takes us on. While sometimes themes seem to repeat themselves in her books, there are always enough diferences to keep me reading the next story. This book did leave a few unanswered questions that I hope she addresses in the next story. All in all another great read from the author.

Lovely romance surprisedly entertaining and captivating. Right amount of thrill to keep you reading. I for one devoured the characters of Primrose and Bened, just electrifying. Both of them made me anticipate the kind of turmoil they will face together or apart, always wondering. That is why this made for a good historical romance read. Received a free book, winner Goodreads First Read Giveaway. Thank you, Darlene Cruz

Strong characters, mysterious intrigue and mystifying storytelling. Thank you Kensington and NetGalley for reintroducing me to Hannah Howell. Ms. Howell creates stories that stimulate the imagination. Her stories are never dull. There are always numerous surprises waiting to be discovered. I received an ARC of If He's Noble in exchange for an honest review. With a book this good my only disappointment is that I discovered it with book 7.

Hannah has written another book for us to enjoy. I liked this story. It has been a while since I read one of her stories. I am glad I read this one. There is a lot of action in this story. Some in, the heir, left home. Spoiler. Promise, his sister, has left home to find him as she wants to save him from a jealous Aunt. Spoiler. In the midst of this she is found by Bened. Spoiler. He belongs to a large family with everyone having a "Gift". Spoiler. He is set to help her and the journey continues. They run into a damaged puppy. There is a Lady out in the woods camping. She soon remembers some of her lost childhood. It isn't good. Lilybet saves Simeon and gives him a run for his money. Spoiler. I would like you to consider reading this book. There are plenty of twists to this book but you have to read to find it out. Enjoy this book! I have this book for an honest review for NetGalley.

This much anticipated book did not disappoint. I loved the characters (main and secondary....even the minor bad guys), the plot, the romance and the entire writing of the book. I have read all of the others of this series and feel like this one just fell right in line. Each of the Wherlocke books has introduced us to additional family members plus other secondary characters, this one did this as well....and I fell in love with Bevan.

My biggest complaint is that Hannah Howell just cannot write the next book in the series fast enough. Fortunately for me I can read and reread this series.....and I do. With each reading I find something I missed the previous reads.

I highly recommend this book.

I love the Wherlockes! Only thing disappointing is that there aren't more of them. Hannah Howell never lets you down. Always grabs your attention and doesn't let go.
